Ingredients:
For Tuna Patties:
- 2 cans (about 12 ounces each) of tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
For Sriracha Mayo:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare Sriracha Mayo:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Adjust Sriracha to your desired level of spiciness. Set aside.
2. Make Tuna Patties:
In a large mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, breadcrumbs, red onion, cilantro, garlic, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning (if using), salt, and pepper.
Add beaten eggs to the mixture and mix well until all ingredients are combined.
3. Shape and Fry Patties:
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Carefully place the tuna patties in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
4. Serve:
Remove the tuna patties from the skillet and place them on a serving platter.
Drizzle the Sriracha Mayo over the patties or serve it on the side as a dipping sauce.
5. Garnish (optional):
Garnish with additional chopped cilantro or a wedge of lime for added freshness.
Enjoy your Pan-Fried Tuna Patties with Sriracha Mayo! Serve them on buns for a delicious tuna burger, or alongside a crisp salad for a lighter meal.
